This is a GS1200SS.
\nA bit of a troublesome request:
\nThey want to install a “BST40 from a GSX-R750RK with a Yoshimura MJN kit already assembled” onto the GS1200SS.
\nI thought, “Ugh, what a pain,” but I was curious what would actually happen, so here we go.

It looks like it was well cared for\u2014very clean.

The float looks good too, but the O-rings are loose.

This one’s dried out too.

The MJN doesn’t have a number marked on it.

I bought a Honda OEM float level gauge the other day\u2014the BST float is loose, so this is just for reference.
\nThe GSF manual shows the actual fuel level.

The float chamber gasket hasn’t arrived yet, so we’re stopped!
\nThe air cleaner got enlarged\u2026
\nWe’re swapping the manifold too, but since we’re not making progress anyway, Yamamoto-sensei removed the bolts from the GSX-R1100 for us. Ⅰ
\nTime to go pick them up.
\nEven with the heater on, it might not even reach 68 degrees\u2026
