Looking at the sludge on the aluminum casting surface, it seems the previous owner was diligent about changing the oil.
\nI adjusted the cam chain by one notch\u2605

When the engine started, it went “thud-thud-thud-thud”\u2014it didn’t sound very much like a four-cylinder, so I checked the tester
\nand it was quite far off

Perfect!
