\nI’ve been tinkering with bicycles\u2605
\nIdeally I wouldn’t want to do anything this week, but…
\nThat’s not how it works.
\nI have a lot of bicycles, but they’re all temporary builds, so I can’t take them far.
\nSo I’m going to get each one in proper shape.
\n#I’m making time to work on my own stuff, so don’t bother me\u2605
\nToday it’s the “CORIMA FOX”
\nBasically I set all the front sprockets to single speed.
\nI’m not a big fan of front derailleurs, and riding on a track is a hassle anyway…
\nI made a shifter and wire anchor that can be fixed with TIG welding as practice.
\nThe finish is the same as always…sad
\nNext I’ll make a guide so the chain doesn’t slip off the inside.
\nSince it’s just human power, do we really need a Polypenco band?
\nI used some decent Delrin and fixed it with clips top and bottom so it rotates\u2605
\nSo it won’t drop off the inside. Though it does run pretty angled…
\nThe carbon sprocket teeth are chipped…probably from the angled run.
\nI’ll order a new one.
\nThe rear freewheel was making a terrible “jar” noise, so I took it apart and cleaned it
\nWhen I reassembled it, it was heavy, so I checked and found…
\nThe O-ring on the outer edge of the freewheel had stretched and was dragging.
\nAfter reassembly it spins very quietly and smoothly.
