We finally made it.
\nAiyu (Oi-jiao-chi)
\nWow! So retro \u2605
\nThe moment we walked in, there wasn’t a trace of friendliness!
\nThis is the old-school shop style of “if you want to eat, come on in!” and it’s pretty cool.
\nWe ordered iced aiyu.
\nThe proprietress works the floor while her husband makes it in the back.
\nHere it comes! But it went to the wrong seat next to us\u2014hey mister!
\nIt finally arrived! Let’s dig in right away!
\nI only had the image of Baiyuan in my head,
\nbut it was surprisingly gentle in flavor\u2014to put it plainly, no punch to it.
\nIt’s like eating shaved ice with agar jelly in it…
\nNot that I dislike it \u2605
\nAnyway, apparently an ant got into the bowl at the next table,
\nso the proprietress took it away and went to the back to tell her husband…
\n“There’s an ant in it!”
\n“They don’t want it anymore!”
\n“You (husband) rush to make it so fast that this is what happens!”
