Heading over to Togashi’s to get some bracket work done and hunt for materials while I’m at it
\nEven when it rains, I’ve got the Samitora, so I’m cruising along just fine
\nThe interior gets so fogged up you can’t see anything, which is pretty dangerous though\u2026
\nI’m looking for a pipe with an outer diameter of 60 mm and a wall thickness of 1 mm
\nAs expected from Togashi\u2014of course he’s got it in stock! So grateful!
\nHe said you can’t cut it cleanly without a mandrel
\n“I think Yamasan has a 60 mm mandrel,” he said, so I got that hot tip and headed right over
\nDown the rainy night roads, flooring the Samitora all the way to the secret factory in Ota Ward\u2026
\nThere was this sketchy hand-bent titanium table base sitting around
\nThey really do make some stylish stuff
\nI ended up taking it home! I’m thinking I’ll put a board on top and set some plants on it
\nThey cut it clean with the metal saw, so tomorrow I’ll get it on the lathe for deburring and jump right into the work!
