Since I couldn’t go out today,
\nI want to make tonight delicious.
\nI really wanted to dig into some hearty pasta or pizza,
\nwith tomato and basil to make it fresh and light\u2026
\nI’m not sure how it turned into offal, though\u2026
\nAnyway, here’s “Manten” in Nakameguro.
\nThis restaurant was recommended to me by EYE Yamasan before.
\nIt’s really delicious.
\nWhat I ate today was
\nraw white tripe skewers and liver steak.
\nWhen I’m taking photos, I’ve been noticing lately how thoughtful the restaurant staff is \u2606
\nI’m not sure if it’s a service or what,
\nbut they asked me, “Would you like to try a rare skewer?” so I said yes please.
\nSomething on a spoon! It goes down smooth,
\nbut it tastes kind of like oyster~ (that’s the third photo)
\nWhat is this anyway?
\n“Pork brain,” they said!
\nMaybe it’s because it’s so fresh, or because it’s Manten.
\nThen I had the eight-piece platter,
\nand a couple of beers and I was done!
\nI’ll do my best again starting tomorrow!
