Lots of work on the ZRX1100
\nI ordered a steering stem seal
\nbut a valve stem seal arrived instead
\nI ordered from the manufacturer’s website, but it was like a map mix-up
\nIt’s also a carburetor part for the GSF, so I’m being careful (I wonder if a corrected version came out now?)
\nThe part is there, but I can’t do the work
\nWhen you remove the swingarm, on modern bikes you can’t get it off without removing the hose
\nSince I can also do a fluid change while I’m at it, that’s good
\nThe rear caliper often has the dust seal sticking out…
\nIt’s not from foreign matter getting in\u2014it’s probably the fluid crystallizing inside the seal and pushing it out
\nIt seems to come out as the piston moves
\nBetter to replace the seal anyway…

\nThe oil-cooled Katana I took in last week won’t fire, and I’m stuck
\nSpark plug? Coil? Pickup? Igniter? Carburetor?
\nTurns out the igniter (power pack) is bad…
\nI also did a light check on the carburetor and confirmed the passages
\nThe spark is there, but it won’t start… I have a bad feeling about this
