The unexpected number of machine tools ended up requiring three trips.
You don’t know what you have until you load it up\u2014that’s just how moving goes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 9th and 10th trips will be for moving in the machine tools.
I’ve been hauling things bit by bit myself as well.

The lathe, shearing machine, and set press all float up into the sky.
Watching humanity’s ingenuity in action gives me that dizzy, thrilling feeling you get at heights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Itoh is fundamentally great at organizing and arranging things neatly.
Looking at the tools, I was struck by how simple and robust the basic materials\u2014wood and steel\u2014really are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When boxes fit snugly together, it feels incredibly satisfying. Kind of like Tetris, you know? That feeling.
Our shop’s machine tools are mostly small, so the logistics worked out well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unloading is definitely faster than loading.
The weather was nice, so work progressed smoothly day after day.
Bad weather changes everything about the schedule, so I’m glad it worked out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car was in the way during the move-out, so I went to a 100-yen parking lot and… <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are quite a few 100-yen parking lots in this area, but today they were all full.
I found one new spot that was open! I thought, but when I checked the price…
“2,600 yen when the surrounding lots max out at 1,200 yen” <\/span><\/strong>

And it’s for 12 hours\u2014shocking pricing! No wonder it was empty.
I had no choice but to park there and got charged the full 2,600 yen…
At least it accepted credit cards, so that was something.
Truly, Kakinokizaka lives up to its reputation in every way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time we have plenty of space to set up the machine tools properly, so I arranged them generously.
Since the space is a bit too open, I’m not sure how it’ll work in practice, so I’ll adjust things after we start using it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The real problem is that basically everything I own is sitting on the floor right now.
I’m going to have trouble bringing in the bikes tomorrow… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn’t look like much has changed at first glance, but we’ve finished moving everything out of the machine shop.
All that’s left are small items like welding machines, drill presses, and engines, so it’s a relief.

I couldn’t have handled the heavy stuff on my own, so I’m really grateful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re going to display some GS\/GSX series panels too.
I’m not really into making the place look like a typical bike shop.
But these panels have sentimental value, so I’d like to display just three of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this level of emptiness is simple and beautiful.
