It’s getting dark out.
\nHey there.
\nSo here’s the Inazuma 1200. We just picked it up\u2014let’s see what condition it’s in.
\nThat’s the thing.
\n50,000 kilometers on the clock
\nI took it for a test ride and overall it felt pretty worn out.
\nSo I figured the best approach would be to do a Deco-mainte\u2014take everything apart and check what’s good and what’s not.
\nThe dirt is really stubborn and won’t come off easily.
\nYeah, it’s pretty stuck on there.
\nThe pedal area is heavily rusted.
\nThe calipers are all black and crusty too.
\nWhen I spin the chain, there’s this weird clicking sound.
\nProbably a loose nut on the drive sprocket?
\nBingo.
\nWhen I’m syncing the carburetors, the engine’s a bit noisy.
\nFuel pump maybe? When I rev it up a bit and ease off the throttle, it goes away.
\nLet me touch the alternator\u2014at the RPM where the noise happens, I can feel vibration in my hand.
\nThe alternator nut loosens up sometimes, so you gotta check it now and then.
\nWhen I pull it off, sure enough\u2014it’s rattling around. Ideally I’d replace the damper too, but not this time.
\nTighten it up good and tight\u2014perfect!
\nI’m pretty beat, so I’ll call it a day with the Inazuma.
