This time it’s Ueno.
\nIt’s not a place I have any real reason to visit, but there are museums and art galleries scattered throughout.
\nMy target is the “Life and Art: Arts & Crafts Exhibition.”
\nTokyo Metropolitan Art Museum http:\/\/www.tobikan.jp\/
\nThe Hibiya Line goes straight to Ueno in one shot\u2014no transfers needed, which is awesome.
\nI hopped on and headed to Ueno for lunch.
\nThis time it was Chinese food.
\n“Chinese Restaurant Suiho”
\nThe entrance exudes an extraordinary sense of luxury\u2014I probably wouldn’t have stepped inside if it weren’t lunchtime.
\nThe high ceiling is decorated like a starry sky, the floor is dyed deep crimson, and the hall staff is exceptionally attentive.
\nA slender Japanese woman in a dramatically slit cheongsam left me not knowing where to look.
\nAnd the quiet, spacious atmosphere was excellent.
