This will probably be the last time we remove the head cover on the Inazuma 750 this year.
\nWell\u2026
\nIt’s a bike that’s kept in excellent condition, and we’re happy to work on it.
\nPlease always wash the bike before bringing it in.
\nThe mileage is just over 20,000 kilometers.
\nFirst-time valve clearance adjustment. When we checked the clearances, there was some slight deviation overall.
\nWe adjusted everything to be spot-on.
\nThere was a tiny bit of cam scuffing on the intake side, but just a little \u2605
\nIt’s basically negligible.
\nBased on the condition of the cam lobes, the rocker arms don’t show any damage either\u2014GOOD!
\nThere was some slack in the cam chain, so we advanced it one notch to adjust it.
\nThe stock tensioner is self-adjusting and is supposed to tighten up as the chain stretches, but it works by spring tension,
\nso it doesn’t tighten up as readily.
\nIf the cam chain is loose, valve timing can easily drift by around 5 degrees, so some variation will show up.
\nIf you read this and think “I’ll adjust the cam chain!” and tighten it too much, you’ll create a nasty vicious cycle, so be careful!
\nThe engine damper wear is moderate.
\nThe carburetor synchronization was a bit off! We nailed that too!
\nI was going to take it for a test ride, but it started raining.
\nI rode it just a little bit, and the steering felt weird.
