Not to exaggerate or anything\u2026
\nAnyone who’s ever removed an engine damper themselves knows it’s pretty tedious.
\nWhen you take it off, the front hanger gets in the way, and so does the oil cooler.
\nThen when you’re tightening it back up, you have to hold the inner nut with a wrench while you tighten the outer one, and it’s awkward\u2026
\nToday I took one off\u2014I’m not sure if this is the final oil-cooled version or which K model it is\u2014and I was shocked!
\nThere’s a threaded hole right down the center of the damper!
\nThe back side has a cap head too, so it’s much easier to hold. We’re switching everything over to this design\u2014no stock of the old ones anymore!
\nI wonder why they changed it at the very end? Do the water-cooled models have dampers too?
\nIf you’re replacing one yourself, feel free to use this design!
