\nI’m not just amazed by how beautiful it is.
\nWhat amazes me is that it’s been kept in this condition for 43,000 kilometers, 10 years, and all that time stored outside.
\nNow that I’ve cooled down a bit, I’ll check the stem while I’m at it, replacing the fork oil. \u2605
\nAccording to the owner, the bearings were replaced once\u2014quite a while ago.
\nOh, there’s still grease left in there!
\nI’ll wipe the race and check it. \u2605 Looking good! It’s reusable.
\nWhen you assemble it with low-viscosity grease that’s heat-resistant, it moves really smoothly.
\nKeep the tightness as loose as possible\u2014right before play develops. That’s the sweet spot.
\nI think this bike is going to come back to life quite a bit with this service.
