It just happened to be lunchtime, and I’d taken a wrong turn, so I figured “this place will do!” and walked in.
\nI was absolutely starving, so I ordered the “tempura and buckwheat noodles over rice with a side of chilled noodles.”
\n“Sorry, we’re out of hand-cut noodles at the moment, so it’ll be country-style buckwheat noodles.”
\nI went ahead with that order and waited a bit.
\n“Sir, the country-style buckwheat noodles are ready, but we’ve just finished making fresh hand-cut noodles.”
\n“What would you prefer?”
\n“Really? Then I’ll go with the fresh hand-cut, please.”
\nThe staff was very clear and responsive\u2014a really pleasant place.
\nThere’s a window where you can see the craftsman constantly making buckwheat noodles.
