For now, this is a countermeasure for the problematic TMS.
\nWe remove the front and rear wheels and take off the tires to check them.
\nThere were no problems like this when I first bought it.
\nI rode one lap at Fuji
\nTwo laps at Tsukuba for coverage
\nPlus a little bit in town, so roughly 1,000 kilometers total, I’d say.
\nWell, Active has been handling it pretty carefully, so that’s good.
\nNow, the sensor part inside is rattling around a bit. (No photos, though.)
\nBoth front and rear…
\nThe rear wasn’t leaking, but today it showed an abnormally high pressure reading, so that’s probably one of the causes.
\nWe install the countermeasure sensor. It’s held in place with a bolt that takes a 7 mm wrench,
\nand I tighten it up a bit more just to be safe.
\nNow for the main issue. According to the recall, the tightening torque doesn’t register properly.
\nWell, if you tighten the rubber bushing with a washer, it deforms.
\nSo what if we make a retainer so it doesn’t slip even when tightened, and the retainer bottoms out against the wheel?
\nThat should work, right?
\nSo for now, I made a retainer, installed it, and tested it.
\nThe bushing wall thickness is 3 mm
\nThe front retainer depth is 2.5 mm
\nThe rear retainer depth is 2.7 mm.
\nSo how will this turn out?
