We picked up a GSF in the evening. It had cooled down by night, so should we go ahead and do it?
\nSince the shop wants to take a break, let’s go ahead and do it!
\nNow it’s extremely clean, but I’m amazed it’s already done 40,000 kilometers! Wow!
\nThey really are taking great care of it.
\nNow let’s remove the head cover and check it.
\nThere’s some variance in the valve clearance, but it’s within spec \u2605 I adjusted both intake and exhaust to the mark.
\nThe cam chain has no slack and cranking is smooth!
\nNow for the carburetor synchronization\u2014it’s way out of whack.
\nI could tell from the sound when it came in, but… it was that bad!
\nGot it perfectly dialed in and it’s running very smoothly now \u2605
\nThe engine damper showed some wear, but for 40,000 kilometers that’s pretty good, right?
\nWe put in Newtech NC41 engine oil and it’s perfect \u266a
\nIt’s really come back to life, hasn’t it?
