I want to eliminate each problem area one by one\u2026
\nThe electrical system really scares me\u2014I can’t count how many times I’ve been burned by it\u2026
\nSo here’s the “AS Watanabe SP2”.
\nI’ve installed it on the GSF and find it extremely useful.
\nThe main benefit is that the spark is incredibly strong (you can see the crackling from a mile away).
\nYou can advance or retard the ignition timing.
\nYou can set the rev limiter.
\nThose are the three main points.
\nWith stronger spark, starting improves! It fires up so well you’ll be amazed.
\nThe ride feels milder (subjective opinion, but still).
\nI don’t adjust the advance and retard much, but when you put it on the dyno and check the graph, you’ll see 3\u20135 psi
\nshift with this adjustment, so it’s best to dial it in once while running and keep that in mind as you make your own adjustments.
\nYou won’t be able to tell by feel alone.
\nThere’s no version for the GS1000S, of course, so I’ll adapt the GSX1100S version \u2605
\nI’ve never done this before, so I’m a bit worried about how it’ll turn out\u2026
\nThe current GSX1100S has a contactless digital ignition advance, so I’ll also need
\nparts I picked up long ago. (Like the pulser on the right)
