Well, since I’m at it, let me swap out the head cover too \u2605
\nI’ll just yank the tank off and check the valve cover\u2014it’s been a while!
\nProbably the first time in about 5,000 kilometers?
\nThat’s rough\u2014only 5,000 kilometers in three years . . .

\nThe EX studs are completely shot . . .

\nThat’s a bummer, but I think I know what caused it.
\nNot riding it meant the cam area wasn’t getting lubricated properly, so the studs probably started wearing down little by little at startup, didn’t they?
\nThe valve cover hasn’t been ridden, so it’s not out of adjustment at all\u2014and the cam chain is fine too.
\nThe head cover looks subtly different, but it feels so much more settled and looks way cooler \u2605
\nI’m happy the scratches and peeling are gone!
