I set up the machine shop mainly because cleaning was a hassle, but I’m starting to think this tiny space really isn’t the place for all this equipment.
\nBut it’s too late now, so I just went for it anyway\u2605
\nThe thing is, you really can’t figure out the layout until you actually use it!
\nSo I tried it out right away! To make Ucchi’s plate\u2026
\nIt’s a pain to use! Pretty rough!
\nWhen I feed the milling machine, it hits the lathe, and if I try to turn something long on the lathe, it won’t fit\u2026
\nTime for another big rearrangement\u2605 The contour machine is in a different spot, so I have to move it over there, cut, then move it back\u2026
\nIncredibly tedious!
\nI moved this, moved that, and somehow managed to make it work in the cramped space.
\nI fit a milling machine, lathe, compressor, drill press, and contour machine into a space that’s only about 36 square feet!
\nMan, I’m exhausted from all that moving\u2026
