Yokohama from the morning\u2026 I was planning to get the inspection done by noon and head out.
\nI hadn’t paid the light vehicle tax, so I asked for and got the fiscal year 2018 and 2019 notices, then headed to the post office this morning\u2026
\nLooking closely at the fiscal year 2019 paper, it says it’s not valid as a certificate\u2026
\nCome on\u2014seriously?
\nSince that wasn’t going to work, I had no choice but to take the Foresight and use the Third Keihin to get to the ward office in Naka Ward.
\nI don’t know the area well, but I’d been dragged around here for drinks back in the day, so I found my way there and back in an hour flat.
\nNow let’s head to the afternoon inspection.
\nSorry everyone\u2014those with 2 p.m. reservations, those with 2:30 reservations\u2026
\nI totally blew past them!!
\nGot stuck in there something fierce\u2014first off, it’s always packed with ten bikes (including re-inspections).
\nAt the tester station I noticed something unnecessary\u2026 does this thing even have a license plate light? It’s LED\u2026
\nOf course it doesn’t!!
\nWhat a mess. I smooth-talked my way through it with some clever technique! Safe \u266a
\nFor some reason they didn’t measure the sound level? What’s with this guy, acting like it’s fine? You sure about that, buddy?
\nThen they came out with something really picky!
\nAfter April 2000, headlight on\/off is not allowed!! What?! Well, that’s better than dealing with the license plate light!
\nFor some reason the headlight tester kept failing\u2026 that’s why I hate bikes with weird lens shapes.
\nSomehow it worked out, but who knew this stuff could happen?
\nThe inspection baffle got stuck and wouldn’t come off, so I rode it like that and it got clogged up, and now it really won’t come off!
\nOh man, I’m in a bind\u2026 I need to get home soon\u2026
\nNo choice\u2014let’s pull it out!
\nYZF-R1 straight pipe under the belly!!
\nLoud! But at least there’s an EXUP so it’s a bit better, though something keeps happening today\u2026
\nThe shelf in the machine shop fell before I even left\u2026
