I haven’t seen a cam that’s actually seized recently.
\nIt’s often said that cams seize easily, and I think that’s true.
\nBut I also think it’s true that some people seize cams and others don’t.
\nIt’s hard to tell the reason for this, and there’s no clear prevention strategy yet.
\nWell, this bike’s condition is good too.
\nThere was no seizing and no major valve clearance deviation (I made sure to adjust it precisely).
\nThe cam chain was in good shape too\u2014but the timing was way off, and the moment I started the engine, I thought, oh no.
\nYeah!
\nThe engine damper was worn too, so I think this will really bring it back to life. \u266a
