Oil-cooled bikes support the exhaust pipe with bolts instead of nuts.
\nWith nuts, even if they strip or break, you can just pull out the stud and work around it, but\u2026
\nWhen the bolt rusts and seizes, it’s a real problem!
\nI’ve dealt with this twice before. One bike was a total loss, and on the other I had to drop the engine!
\nStandard steel bolts don’t have heat-resistant grease applied to them, so if they haven’t been removed in a while
\nthey rust and seize up. Even the stock bolts would be fine if you just coat them well with heat-resistant grease, you know?
\nBut you want them to look nice, right? You want them to shine!
\nSo here’s what we do\u2026
