! Everyone’s pretty swamped before the Obon holiday, huh?
\nAnyway, we’re moving right along with the work. We’re making progress on the MJ bike\u2026
\nThe engine’s at the machine shop, so it won’t be back until after Obon, so until then
\nwe’ll get the suspension sorted. We’re installing the front fork that was brought in.
\nI’ve been wanting to try this fork on the front for a while now!
\nI really appreciate people who are willing to go along with what I want to try! \u266a
\nMy own bike has its limits, you know. It all worked out as planned! Everything added up perfectly!
\nWith subtraction, there are limits to wall thickness and such, so I prefer addition.
\nThe fork pitch is different, you see.
\nNow we’ve got extension, compression, initial preload, and the axle expanded to 25mm!
\nThis should give us a lot more range for front suspension tuning.
\nI’d like to get it dialed in nicely after a few test runs.
\nThe engine needs break-in too, and we’ve got a ton to do before the September race!
