Headed to the inspection this morning, and I overslept again\u2026
\nI really need to fix this sleeping-in habit\u2026
\nArrived on mj’s GSF without any issues! I figured everything would go smoothly.
\nOh\u2014the handlebar’s different! (Width adjusted yesterday!)
\nThe turn signals are fast! (Wait? What are you talking about, buddy?)
\nNo good\u2014they’re blinking about 130 times a minute! (For real? Ugh\u2026)
\nGot home, swapped in a different relay, and finished up, but it was already 1:30 p.m.
\nThen I rushed to pull the cam, pull the head, pull the cylinder, pull the piston,
\nremove the valves, and soak the head, valves, and piston in carburetor cleaner\u2026
\nI’ll give them a light wash tomorrow and ship them out.
\nIf I go buy wheel bearings now, I should be able to slap the fork on tomorrow,
\nand we can give it a test!
\nYour cam is fantastic! After all that running, there’s zero scuffing! Zero!
\nThe oil’s good, sure, but you must ride it gently too.
\nEven with a 46 driven sprocket, the torque feels thin\u2014the engine must be screaming.
\nThe valve seating surfaces are caked with carbon\u2026
