Yesterday and today I attended back-to-back weddings\u2014what a celebration!
\nI really worked hard last week for this. Let’s do our best this week too!
\nSo yesterday, our company president was getting married, and we\u2014the monster team\u2014headed to Yokohama by train!
\nSince only a certain number of people could attend, a representative went on our behalf, and we arrived.
\nI was swaying on the train for about an hour. The reception was a standing party on the top floor of a fancy hotel, which felt a bit out of place.
\nSince it wasn’t a wedding for someone my age, I was surprised by the age difference! I was surprised by M-Shima’s drinking! We wrapped it up quickly.
\nCongratulations, truly! Clap clap!
\nAnd today was Ueno\u2014or rather, Yushima. We navigated the Hibiya and Chiyoda lines and arrived.
\nWe met up with my friend M-Sawa at Doutor! We ate a beloved Milano Sandwich A and headed to the venue.
\nSurrounded by people we barely knew, we just went along with the flow of the ceremony.
\nListening to a suspicious foreign priest’s broken Japanese, I could barely hold back from laughing.
\nWe ate downstairs, listened to speeches, and clapped along.
\nBeing a bride must be tough\u2014how many times do they change outfits? Everyone seems to go to the spa beforehand to prepare.
\nThe second party was supposed to be around Ueno Station, so we moved there. We had some time to kill,
\nso we played ‘Mahjong Fight Club 5’ at the arcade.
\nThe play was so terrible I got discouraged. Three melds was standard, and everyone was going for all-in on dealer ready hands and non-dealer ready hands!
\nIn the end I got hit with a double limit and finished in third place\u2014game over. What a terrible game.
