It was 9 a.m. on a weekend at Fuji, bitterly cold with rain mixed with snow, and this time there were no self-riders<br \/>\nwhich was fortunate\u2014otherwise we might have encountered frozen road surfaces.<br \/>\nWe arrived. Of course the road surface was wet. Running had already begun, and some crazy guy was tearing through the snow-mixed conditions<br \/>\nat high speed. For some reason, the place was packed with high-end bikes! F4s, Ducatis, people in racing suits all fired up&#8230;<br \/>\nUnbelievable. We decided to wait in the car for a bit, and as time passed, thanks to the sun, the water on the road surface began to dry.<br \/>\nSteam rose up\u2014moo-waa\u2014and you could feel the warmth where the sun was hitting.<br \/>\nRoad surface temperature: 14 degrees, cold. The tires where the sun was hitting were 25 degrees, and when you push 180 degrees, it becomes 5 degrees\u2014<br \/>\nthat&#8217;s a difference of 18 degrees. Dangerous! The older brother and younger brother started their runs. The goal was basically to do a full-throttle run and get used to the circuit after a long time away.<br \/>\nThe younger brother&#8217;s clutch started slipping and he retired; the older brother completed both full-throttle runs and finished safely.<br \/>\nAfter that, someone locked the keys inside the car\u2014what do we do?? Hey! It was that kind of situation, but somehow<br \/>\nwe got it open and made it back safely. Fair warning: the food at Fuji is terrible. The soba is actually way better from Seven-Eleven&#8217;s retort soba<br \/>\n\u2014that&#8217;s a fact.
