Oil painting… when you write it in hiragana, it sounds kind of silly! And for no good reason, I went ahead and wrote a title anyway.
\nSo here we are. This year is winding down to almost nothing, and I hear this kind of talk all the time, so…
\nWhat’s the big deal about having little time left? I want to say: what’s the big deal about 2006 coming? January 1st is just one day out of 365 in a year,
\nand July 4th is also just one day. There’s nothing particularly special or rare about it. Everyone gets the day off and calls it “New Year’s”\u2014isn’t that nice?
\nIs that what it means to sit around in a kotatsu and spend a holiday meaninglessly, no matter where you go being crowded??
\nI find myself thinking about this every year, so I decided to write it down. Anyway, this year I’m hoping to wrap up with what I have on hand now and maybe tomorrow or so.
\nThat’s the plan.
