Every day, I sometimes wonder if this is just a game of swapping out parts as they arrive.
Open it up, swap it out, open it up, swap it out\u2014 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll keep an eye on the timing and smoothly install the parts as they arrive.
This time I converted to a 525 size with a Sunstar chain and sprocket kit. <\/p>\n\n\n\t\t

Lately, 525 is becoming the standard size. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Converting to a 520 size reduces chain weight and friction loss dramatically.
Since 520 is also reasonably priced, it seems like a good idea to replace it frequently.

Personally, I still think 530 or 525, if available, is the way to go.
And from Sunstar, who loves Z bikes, a 525 size is now available.
When choosing this conversion kit, I made sure to check whether front and rear final drive options were available\u2014that’s important.

Like my own bike, just changing the final drive even for city riding
makes a huge difference in how it feels, so I’d recommend trying it.

I basically go short on everything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wider tabs compared to the original really boost confidence, don’t they?
This lock washer has a surprisingly punchy price tag…
If you want to use it, you’ll probably end up buying the whole chain set.

But honestly, a lock washer like this really does give you peace of mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I apply thread locker to the lock nut, tighten it with a torque wrench, and the installation is complete.
Crimping the lock washer in two or more places will give you peace of mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just having the drive chain installed makes the bike look so much more like a real motorcycle.

The chassis work is pretty much done, so I’m thinking it’s time to tackle the electrical system. <\/p>\n\n\n\t\t
