I love work vehicles.
Above all else, they’re incredibly tough and never break down, which is the best part. <\/span><\/strong>

I bought it in 2011, and it’s already been 13 years. <\/span><\/strong>
It only ran about 60,000 kilometers, but it never had any major breakdowns. <\/span><\/strong>
Basically, I just had consumables replaced.
Cargo vehicles are really durable, aren’t they?

My hope was “I wish I could have sold it for more than I paid for it,” <\/span><\/strong>

Town Ace Super X KM 70 <\/span><\/strong>
I think it’s probably a Just Low.

I remember switching to this at the time because two bikes wouldn’t fit in the Sunny Truck.
Even if I had managed to fit two liter bikes in the Sunny Truck, it probably wouldn’t have run properly.

Straight, two bikes fit, but at an angle, two is a bit tight.
The cargo capacity is more than sufficient, and it felt like a pretty reliable truck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shop where I bought my Town Ace Van is a strange place that seems to specialize in these KM-series Town Aces.
This Town Ace truck is apparently somewhat rare,
“the passenger-side rear window opens and closes” and “the integrated tail lights on the early KM70” <\/span><\/strong>are rare,

it’s unusual to find someone this knowledgeable about Town Aces.
Since they wanted it as a trade-in, I decided to let it go to someone who wanted it.
*Interestingly, the MOTA appraisal came out to the same trade-in value… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter how many times I look at it, “I just couldn’t grow to like this face.” <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather than wanting it, “I bought it for the inspection,” <\/span><\/strong>that’s how it felt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A long time ago, a tree fell during tree cutting and dented the ceiling.
I received repair costs at the time, but since I didn’t care about it, I never fixed it.

Looking into Town Aces more now, I found there are models without a tachometer.
Even with 1800cc, it’s still a cargo vehicle, so it’s incredibly slow.

You have to go downhill at speed and keep the pedal to the metal to pass a passenger car.
Since it’s a cargo vehicle, the seats and suspension (leaf springs) aren’t great.
After a day of driving, my back gets a bit sore.
Looking back, “nothing particularly impressive.” <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The additive I put in this year made a very good impression.
I was surprised by the intake additive, but in terms of cost-effectiveness, XADO was superior. <\/a><\/strong>

The rough feeling became very smooth, <\/strong>and the vibration noise that’s typical of trucks decreased dramatically. <\/strong>
That said, “it’s still just truck-level,” <\/strong>so I don’t know how effective it would be on a passenger car.
I’m putting it in the next Town Ace Van too, so I’ve already bought it and have it ready.

I chose the previous generation Town Ace Van.
By the way, the engine is the same 7K-series, so I think it’s safe and reliable.

People often say, “Isn’t the Hiace nice?” but “I just can’t seem to like it.” <\/span><\/strong>
As for this Town Ace Van, if you ask if I absolutely love it…
Considering budget, timing, and usability, <\/span><\/strong>it’s more like, “Well, this is fine.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bought a catalog on Yahoo Auctions to get a sense of the size.
Looking at the dimensions, they seemed to differ somewhat\u2014or quite a bit\u2014from the actual measurements.

With these listed dimensions, bikes wouldn’t fit at all, so it’s not worth considering.
I wanted to see an actual vehicle, so I looked through Car Sensor carefully,
“but there aren’t many in the Kanto area.” <\/span><\/strong>
In the meantime, I was checking Car Sensor every day and night and had set up alerts, when finally
a high-roof GL grade <\/strong>came up.
When I went to see it in person and took measurements,
the height was 1,250 millimeters, so most things can be loaded. <\/span><\/strong>

I was only there to measure, so I had no intention of buying at all, but
“it was creepily clean,” <\/span><\/strong>and “no shoes inside” <\/span><\/strong>signs were posted…
I asked the shop owner, “Is it no shoes because you just cleaned it?” <\/strong>and he replied,
“No, no\u2014the previous owner was apparently very particular about things.” <\/strong>

After that, I opened the hood to check for oil leaks and deterioration of connectors,
started the engine to check the feel and sound, and that’s how I ended up buying it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are other cars of the same model, but “this car is one of a kind.” <\/strong><\/span>
The same goes for used bikes\u2014ultimately, it’s all about timing and meeting. <\/span><\/strong>
“Hesitation is just rationalizing your choice.” <\/span><\/strong>
Once your essential criteria <\/strong>are established
and they’re met, you can decide immediately. <\/strong>That’s what I think.
