Well, continuing from yesterday’s work…

We’re adjusting the clearance with shims on the pivot. Initially it had quite a bit of play.
Before loosening the pivot, I removed the rear suspension and checked the play on both sides—there was a pretty sharp gap.
It turned out to have a color-in bearing structure, so we were able to use shims from inventory—lucky!
Hopefully this will give it a nice solid feel.
Taking the swingarm on and off multiple times is a bit tedious.

The color on the back of the drive sprocket cover was somehow worn down—hmm.
It should be L = 85 mm originally, but it was 84-point-something mm.
I faced it once on the lathe—it had a texture that looked weldable, so I built it up with filler metal

Restored.

We’re putting this on hold for now to deal with the sharp spots.
