The cock is dirty, so when you wiggle the knob up and down it seeps a little.

So we’re holding off on delivery—it’s a Decoboco situation.

You know, new parts really are nice and clean.

Basically, I’m the type who thinks you should use things until the last moment. But the bikes that come to us are pretty old too.

For parts where there’s no cross-compatibility, it’s better to get them early or replace them and then just let it go for another 10–20 years! That’s what I’ve been thinking lately.

OEM parts tend to go up in price but never down, so get them sooner rather than later.

44300-17CVV, ¥11,400. Surprisingly reasonable?

All done.
