The muffler spring took a while to arrive, so it required some extra time.
Anyway, it’s finally done! (‘ω’)ノ
I installed a slightly bent insertion converter and double spring hook.
Bending round stock and welding four pieces together makes it pretty beefy… and labor-intensive.
So here’s the thing—back in the day, I think superbikes used chain plates? That’s the concept I’m basing this on.
After electropolishing, I applied shot peening.
All that homemade character completely disappeared—it’s now bland and featureless.
When you add a converter, the spring’s appearance gets a bit busier, doesn’t it?
We went to Shibuya and had a blast!
