Let’s use a hollow bolt from another bike for the link bolt. Since it’s a reinforced bolt and hollow, you can feel confident even with the lighter weight.
M12 with a 14 mm wrench size, so it looks sleek and adds to the sense of lightness.
It probably won’t come loose, but this is a spot where you want a lock washer for peace of mind. The custom-made link plate is installed, and since it’s aluminum, the increased thickness means the bolt head isn’t quite long enough.
Now we can relax. I also double-checked the link plate pitch and hole diameter.
