That turned out to be completely impossible, and we finally got started today.
As usual, both the GS1200SS and the Inazuma 1200 have play in their pivot points.
The shim thickness at the swingarm-side pivot is thin.
Even without polishing, it’s in good condition all around, and with standard rear maintenance
Man, it’s filthy!
Spinning something like that around is a waste of time, so I remove the really bad ones.
When I remove the swingarm, the caliper is already disconnected from the hose and sitting by itself.
All the customers buy new calipers and go with aluminum pistons, so the pistons aren’t needed.
I’ve kept them instead of throwing them away, so I give them to the customers. ★
I’m happy, the owner is happy, everybody wins.

The plate press-fit width is nearly uniform across the board!!
I’m amazed by the precision every time. ★ I use it as a reference when installing plates.
