“Forza 250 MF08 Charging Trouble and Maintenance”

It was a Honda scooter you could trust completely,
but with this Forza, our confidence has crashed hard.
Those legendary trouble-free Freeway and Foresight days are ancient history…
We finally got the ignition fixed the other day, but…
When Yuzu took it as a loaner and headed out, it died on the way—soaking wet by evening.
We figured it was the regulator, so we swapped in the spare…
12.5 volts… hmm…
Measured the three-phase AC from the generator—one phase is completely dead.

removed it and drained the oil,
 

 
stator assembly: 22,500 yen
Oddly, the resistance values are the same on both old and new—bad sign, but
 

 
boom—14 volts! Regulating around 14.4 volts, so all good
 

 
filled it with coolant
 

 
air filter replacement: 2,650 yen
 

 
drive belt replacement: 7,900 yen
Belts really do harden over time…
It’s not so much worn as it is the old one has lost its flexibility.
