For now, let’s go with the “let’s ride!” approach…
I’ve only ever seen the real Yoshimura Tornado 1200 Bonneville units 1 and 2,
so this is the first time I’m seeing it take shape from kit parts.
The tank mount looks like it’s been redesigned too?
I think it had a claw that caught on the back and rubber stops in front,
but that tank was cut in the middle, pushed together and welded, so I’m not sure how it works now.
I’m not really that familiar with it, sorry.
The inside of the tank is green,
so of course the carburetor is green too.
If the inside looks bad, we’ll send it straight to Yoshimura, so if that happens this month will be tight.
I pulled the plug and cranked it over—it looks okay—so I’ll circulate the oil.
I replaced the plug with a new JR8B and started the engine,
but it’s still going “bebepepepepee”
and the carburetor is overflowing with a squirt.
I’ll do the wheel swap first…
