Looking back into the past, a whole new world appears…
I happened to spot this mysterious Campagnolo somewhere online
Its name: Campagnolo Scirocco
A wheel from quite a while back
Incredibly cool
I searched the world over but couldn’t find one anywhere
Then I saw it hanging on the wall in a fixed-gear shop blog from Shibuya
I called them up
Is it for sale?
Yes! It’s for sale.
I went to see it that night—it was muggy
I got permission to photograph it ☆
In exchange, they asked me to photograph a TREK FOIL77 as well, so I happily obliged
I was taking photos inside the shop.
On the way back I stopped by FIG BIKE to report to K and ask if the wheel was ready
It’s not done yet—oh well
The C40’s bottom bracket wouldn’t come off today, but I managed to get mine off ☆
I had to heat it up quite a bit with a heat gun before using a shock driver
Italian threads are right-hand on both sides
I figured that out quick. That was dangerous, really ☆
Tomorrow’s my day off—I’m so happy!
