I’ve got front and rear lights on the bike.
The front is pretty bright—moped level!
The rear is red.
These things would look cooler without them, but they make it easier for cars to spot me.
The idea is to light up side streets and intersections without traffic signals.
I don’t want to get hurt over something silly, you know.
Bikes are vulnerable road users, so if I hit a car or motorcycle it’s one thing, but if it’s a pedestrian, that’s a real problem.
I’ve got special coverage through insurance, so I’m protected.

Finding the same size would be a hassle, so I made one with a 2mm bungee cord I just picked up.
I just melted both cut ends with a soldering iron and stuck them together—that’s it.
