So this time we have an Inazuma 1200 Katana, made by Kobe Unicorn.
Mileage is 55,000 kilometers.
The carburettor has been swapped out for a BST36—a pretty niche machine.
Even with that kind of mileage, it’s clean, which is nice.
The Inazuma’s frame is tight against the head cover, so it’s hard to remove.
Got it off safely, and now let’s see…
The intake side is completely worn out… It’s not severe, but there’s some noticeable scuffing progressing.
The exhaust side is fine.
The cam chain has proper tension—spot on.
The carburettor sync was a bit off, so I dialed it in perfectly and adjusted the pilot screw too—perfect! ★
Idle is running smooth and stable now.
Engine damper shows no severe wear either—all good!
Poured in some NC41 engine oil and we’re all set. ♪
Man, I’m beat today.
