This time we got a Bandit 1200, 04 model for maintenance! It’s got about 10,000 kilometers on it.
The bike is in great shape, so the work is going smoothly. Now let’s see what’s inside! ??
Wow, it’s clean! You can tell the oil’s been changed regularly!
No cam wear at all! GOOD! The tappets were a bit out of spec, so I redid them all.
The cam chain is fine, so I checked the slack and we’re done.
Then fill it with oil (Newtech NC41http://www.nutec-japan.com/lineup/enging-oil_nc-40_nc-41.htm）
Change the oil filter, swap the engine damper, sync the carburetors, adjust the idle, test ride, and we’re finished!
This should bring it back to life nicely.
