The oven finally arrived, so I decided to give carguard coating a try right away.
First, I strip off the old coating with sandpaper to clean it up. Then I degrease it and blow it thoroughly with compressed air before
popping it in the oven. I might need to run a temperature control test here first.
It’s not flowing smoothly at all. The sandpaper grit is too coarse, and the temperature is rising too high,
so the finish ends up looking matte.
The color is darker than the old carguard.
I’ve realized this is quite a labor-intensive job.
