! Everyone’s pretty swamped before the Obon holiday, huh?
Anyway, we’re moving right along with the work. We’re making progress on the MJ bike…
The engine’s at the machine shop, so it won’t be back until after Obon, so until then
we’ll get the suspension sorted. We’re installing the front fork that was brought in.
I’ve been wanting to try this fork on the front for a while now!
I really appreciate people who are willing to go along with what I want to try! ♪
My own bike has its limits, you know. It all worked out as planned! Everything added up perfectly!
With subtraction, there are limits to wall thickness and such, so I prefer addition.
The fork pitch is different, you see.
Now we’ve got extension, compression, initial preload, and the axle expanded to 25mm!
This should give us a lot more range for front suspension tuning.
I’d like to get it dialed in nicely after a few test runs.
The engine needs break-in too, and we’ve got a ton to do before the September race!
