I suggested to myself that if it rains, let’s take a break! ☆
Until just now my head was all fuzzy and I was watching TV and dozing off, which wasn’t so bad,
but I told myself no way—took a bath, did the dishes, brought in the laundry, soaked in the tub, and now I’m refreshed!
Now my head’s a little clearer…
That’s when I came up with something that doesn’t cost much but is pretty cool!
Still a secret though! ♪ Lately I’ve been living the packed lunch life, so I get to eat lunch every day—it’s extremely healthy.
But making it in the morning, coming home, washing up, cooking rice again—it’s a bit of a hassle, so I mostly just microwave it,
and I’m not really into cooking that way—it just doesn’t taste as good.
I want to eat freshly cooked rice even if it’s just one cup, and I want to use the insulated lunch box I went to the trouble of buying.
Well, I can’t make anything fancy, but I think cooking is actually a lot like maintenance work.
On the flip side, when ingredient temperature and freshness changes are involved, the deeply explored world is probably still uncharted territory…
So when I’m cooking, what I focus on is efficiency.
Efficiency exists in everything, and by improving it I think you can make things go much more smoothly.
But it doesn’t work out as well as you think—the vegetable oil stew finishes before the fish is done grilling.
The sauce is ready before the chicken is cooked through.
You need practice with everything, but since I’m not making the same thing every day, I forget anyway—and that’s what makes it fun.
Both failures and successes become lessons, so I call it good. Anyway, my head started going “If it rains tomorrow!”
so I’m suggesting we go shopping tomorrow! First I want a seasoning container. ♪
I know some people think any old thing will do, but I think using something I like the design of and that’s easy to use
can help boost your daily efficiency.
Well, before I ramble on any more, I bet everyone reading this is thinking I should just go to bed early and wake up early!
But I can’t wake up! I’m not even going to bed that late, you know~
