It’s rainy out—the town is quiet and I’m absolutely thrilled about it ♪
Now I’m taking apart the head to push things even further ★
Last night’s hesitation was about installing titanium valves.
The factory titanium valves are incredibly common, and if I reuse them, it’ll lighten up the valve train,
and I was getting excited imagining what kind of change we might see—
but after two hours of research on Google, I realized it would be tedious and the costs would add up,
so I gave up.
What I’m taking apart is the previous owner’s engine head (GS1200SS).
It’s in beautiful condition—really nice shape. For now I’ll soak it in carbon solvent and send it out for machining soon.
