2007 flew by in a flash★
I can’t say it was a fulfilling year overall. I’d like to say I really gave it my all this year, but here we are★
It feels like just yesterday we turned into ’07… spring came, then it got hot, and before I knew it—year end…
I thought there was still plenty of time left this year! But then suddenly it’s the end of the year!
It’s really frustrating.
We finished moving things around the shop and packed boxes into the unused spaces, so now we have an environment where we can make effective use of our limited floor area.
With this setup, I’m hoping to work with “high efficiency and high stability.”
This year brought a lot of new things to look forward to♪
I especially got really into houseplants. I got hooked over the summer, and it’s been about four months now, but my enthusiasm hasn’t faded one bit.
I’ve thought about a lot of things.
Also, improving the convenience of daily life and work. I upgraded my digital camera and replaced the shop computer.
At home, I managed to move the washing machine from the balcony into the room, so now I can do laundry comfortably even at night or in winter.
It’s been great.
I hated the fruit flies in summer, and I was amazed by the wonderful performance of the “food waste processor”!
In a flash! I got a Tefal electric kettle that heats water with a ding★, and I’ve been enjoying tea all day long.
I wanted to make braised pork belly and stewed dishes! So I got an electric pressure cooker too—no need to adjust the heat, so even I can get perfect results.
Every time.
My house is freezing cold in winter like a frozen hell, so I upgraded to a larger gas fan heater. Thanks to this, it’s incredibly warm.
The convenient features really help me out every single day.
Plus, my throat gets dry from the air conditioner in summer, so I got a hybrid humidifier with air purifier. Thanks to this, in both summer and winter,
the humidity never drops below 50%, so it’s really great.
The last one to arrive is the Healsio.
Actually, I haven’t used it yet, so I’m planning to make all kinds of things on the 31st and have fun experimenting★
Yeah, making bento boxes is fun with this too.
Well, I haven’t written down all the little things, but I’ve definitely spent a lot of money.
As long as convenience goes up, that’s good enough for me. Everyone’s different, I guess.
Better efficiency ⇒ more free time ⇒ rest for body and mind, or the ability to do different work. That’s what I think it means.
Just one extra hour a day might not seem like much, but over a year or ten years it adds up to a scary amount of time.
I can’t help but feel that’s where the differences between people come from.
So since I’ve been slacking off, I’m going to give myself a little pep talk and make next year a year where I can say “I really gave it my all and it was fulfilling.”
That’s what I’m aiming for.
