Let’s try the Moffl right away ♪

Now we’ll power it on. The light comes on, and we need to let it preheat.
It takes about three minutes.

Place two pieces of shabu-shabu mochi on top.
Use the heat of the cooking plate to stick them together into one piece, place it on the plate, add your delicious fillings on top, then place another piece of mochi on top.
That’s the basic idea. It’s extremely simple.

Three minutes later… it comes out looking like this ♪
This time I made two pieces with gorgonzola and one with kimchi.
Since it’s mochi, it fills you up fast—I can only eat about two to four pieces—so I can’t do much testing.
Both turned out as expected, but they need a little more creativity.
The gorgonzola could use basil sauce and such.
The kimchi definitely needs the addition of meat umami and other flavors.
When you add stuffed fillings, they drip… and the Moffl maker itself gets dirty.
Choosing black was definitely the right call ♪ The cheese suddenly goes squirt.
The mochi itself keeps quite well as long as you don’t open the package.
Perfect for emergency rations and snacks.
It also makes a convenient lunch box ■
This definitely needs more testing—anchovies might be delicious too?
