The Brembo racing caliper (mini) is installed on it.
The pads that came with it have a soft bite—kind of a “shhhh” effect ★

So I swapped them out for Metallica SPEC 03 pads—a brand you can trust completely.
The caliper was dirty and the piston action was at its worst.
I gave it a thorough wash with hot water, getting into every nook and cranny, then applied a thin, even coat of metal rubber and worked it in!
It’s working pretty well now ★
I replaced the brake fluid too.
Radial masters and all—replacing everything from the nipples on each caliper and master is really the way to go.
When you change the pads, always clean the brake rotor with cleaner afterward.
It’d be a shame to put brand-new pads against a dirty rotor.

I wanted to see the XR1000, so I headed over to I Manufacturing.
We had a great time talking about all kinds of things.

On the way back, I stopped by Lindberg to flip through a Sportster magazine, and I ran into a customer ★
Oh wow! What a coincidence ★
