I went ahead and swapped the rear to a carbon fender.
I mean, it’s just stock steel, right?
I thought this would lighten things up quite a bit, but…
Stock: about 2.5 kilograms
Wet carbon rear fender: about 1.4 kilograms
Hmm, that’s kind of underwhelming! Seriously.
This one for this model year didn’t have the lamp hole drilled out, and even if I drilled it, I couldn’t secure the lamp, so I had to fabricate a bracket.
Finally got it done…
Well, whatever.
Now the front and rear are both carbon.
In the end, I decided to go with a chrome tank for this one too.
What, again?
It’s just a temporary setup for now.
