Another day gone already. I wish I could finish cleaning up faster… Really.
So, my recent treat—dinner
Today it was the nostalgic old “Tohoku Saikan” http://r.tabelog.com/tokyo/A1318/A131801/13001846/
If my memory’s right, it opened around when I was in elementary school
And it’s still going
It was popular back then too—you had to go at off-peak times or you’d have to wait in line
It’s a bit cramped and dingy, but the food is amazing and I was blown away after all this time!
Wow!
The owner’s got these wild sideburns and a sun-weathered face
That gives off a real 20th-century vibe
I’ll skip taking pictures this time ☆
Yeah, after all this time I was grinning ear to ear, downed two bottles of beer, and I’m satisfied ♪
Yamate-dori is something else!
