If I just looked up the strength specifications and load ratings for both JWL and JWL-T, wouldn’t that be OK?
I researched as much as I could
and found data for both under “limited use” ★
Sunny Truck Chan’s bolt hole PCD is 4-hole 114.3
Per bolt: 500 kg for JWL and 685 kg for JWL-T
I made up the paperwork and headed to Shinagawa…
After arguing for a few minutes… they kindly and politely explained: “It won’t work ★ It used to be okay, but without the stamp, even if it passes the strength requirements,
it’s against the rules now.”
Everything else passed, so I went back and swapped out the wheels.
The inspection was successfully completed ★
So they wanted me to change the wheels from the start?
Well, I wanted to know how far I could push it—that’s the mystery of vehicle inspections!
After that, it’s been running fine, but my digital camera battery died
